This petite doll of a girl is Ember, aka Emmie!
Emmie found herself as a stray taken to a rescue only shelter. The term rescue only applies for the entire shelter, it's not due to behavioral or medical issues. However, she could only leave with an approved Georgia Department of Agriculture Rescue. Fortunately, we are one! We had our eye on Ember and were surprised she was still there after a few weeks. As her time began to expire, we had to intervene.
Ember joined some of our rescue pups at the sanctuary in NC. The other dogs are helping her feel more comfortable as she can be a little reserved with new people. It doesn't take her long to warm up though. We think Ember would do best in a home with other confident dog friends. She really perks up when she's outdoors so a yard will be a must for her. Due to her nature, she would likely be stressed in a home where there's a lot of commotion. She is probably cat friendly but we can never guarantee this. Anyone wishing to adopt her must have a solid plan for their cats to have escape routes if needed. Emmie loves car rides!
Ember is heartworm negative, spayed and current on her vaccines. She's located in NC but available for adoption in CT, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC & GA.

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
