My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Happy, curious, playful, affectionate and fun – that’s Paris!

Paris is a teen kitty with kitten energy!  He is social, fearless, and determined to make friends with humans and felines alike. Paris loves life and is comfortable on any perch of the cat tree.  Paris moved into his foster home with other felines, and within a month had learned his place in the cat hierarchy and moved on to playing, chasing, and befriending all the resident cats ranging in age from kitten to senior. He understands that he can always play with his cat friends and fellow foster, Sky (check out his profile too!), while also knowing to go slow and gauge the mood of the senior cat, who might not be up for a romp.

Paris is curious about everything. He loves pets, will come visit you on the couch and likes to put his face on your cheek, but it might not last long if he thinks something might be interesting elsewhere. Paris will undoubtedly age into a solid lap cat. Snuggle sessions might be a bit short at this young age, but Paris will play endlessly with you, another cat, or by himself. Favorite toys are laser pointers, crinkly mylar balls, springs, wand toys and water! He also enjoys running from or chasing and wrestling his cat friend Sky.

Paris loves water. He loves playing with ice, scooping up water with his paw from his water dish, and even jumps in the back part of the shower. Paris has figured out the most advantageous spot for water gazing in the shower is between the liner and the curtain. When the water is turned off he runs to the drain to watch the water disappear and get a taste. Other times, Paris lies in the bathtub, gazes up at the faucet and asks for the water to be turned on for him. Paris is adorable, funny, and knows how to get what he wants!

Paris has perfect litter box manners, and no food issues with other cats. He has not lived with dogs. Paris is social and enjoys visitors. Older children (age 11) have visited and could not tire him out in play, though they certainly enjoyed trying. Paris knows acceptable limits of play but can get overstimulated, so very young children might not be a good fit.

Paris is a cat with a big personality and is just fun to have around! He loves to be at the heart of his home, watching you work at the computer, hanging out watching TV or cooking dinner- wherever the action is, Paris wants to be included. Seeing Paris waiting in the bathtub, catching a glimpse of him running on his four white feet, or stroking the blaze of white on his nose would make anyone smile. J’adore Paris. Paris est super!

Please note: due to Paris's age and energy level, he must be adopted into a home with another young cat. He would love to be adopted with his good friend and fellow foster cat Sky, if you don't already have another playful cat buddy at home for him!

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
