"Flex" is a 70-lb, 14-mos old intact male GSD/Husky who is loving, playful and friendly. Flex is up to date on core vaccinations and was recently given a clean bill of health by a veterinarian.

Flex is very friendly with everyone he meets, both at his foster home and when out on walks. He does well with children, having grown up in a home with young kids.

Flex has yet to interact with other dogs since he was rescued, but he is non-reactive towards other dogs who he sees while out on walks.

It is not known how Flex does with cats.

Flex's foster caretakers are currently keeping him outside, so it's not known if he's housetrained. However, he regularly "does his business" while on walks, suggesting he is housetrained. Flex does fine in a crate and is kept crated at night and when his people are gone.

Flex walks good on leash and responds well to commands. A trainer is currently working with Flex on basic obedience.

Flex enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war.

Flex belonged to a family who were no longer able to take care of him. Flex was left with little attention for awhile until his present foster people offered to take him in to find him a new home. Flex has been with the foster family since March 26. They need to find Flex an adopter or new foster home by April 6 as they are going on an extended vacation to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary.

Flex is located in Fair Oaks. There is no adoption fee for Flex, but because he has yet to be neutered a $300 refundable neuter deposit will be required of his adopters. The adopters will have 90 days to have Flex neutered. Upon providing evidence of neutering, Flex's foster people will refund the $300 deposit. This will all be in writing.
