Millie is one of those dogs that can put a smile on just about anyone’s face- your grumpy uncle that believes dogs are “outside creatures” will make room on the couch for this one. She’s just that kind of girl- infectiously happy, full of personality, silly and sweet in equal parts. She’s too good. She’s a dog that will truly feel like a family member, you’ll forget what life was like without Millie, and wonder how you survived! This sweet girl is ready for her forever home, and she so deserves it.

The cutest thing about Millie is her huge, beautiful pittie smile, but the first thing you’ll notice about her is her breathtaking golden eyes. We think Millie is a Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier mix, but she is a rescue so this is just our best guess. She’s currently estimated to be around 3 years old, and she weighs in at 60 pounds. Don’t worry though, this pretty pittie girl knows she’s still a lap dog.
Millie is amazing with children, she would make a great family dog. She is fostered in a home with kids under ten! She has met kids as young as three years old, and it’s magical to watch her interact with them. She’s steadfastly confident, not flinching at the rambunctiousness of toddlers, with no reaction to kicking feet or pushing hands. She’s gentle and sweet, she keeps her paws to herself and doesn’t jump on little ones. She has an understanding of children that will make her such a wonderful family dog. Be sure to watch her video to see her interact with our three year old volunteer, Kobe. Kids love Millie too- she’s interactive with them and loves to play ball. She can catch treats in her mouth too, which is fun for little ones and adults alike!
Currently, Millie resides in a loving foster home with her devoted foster pawrents, their kids and two other large dogs. Millie gets along famously with her canine foster siblings, and sleeps on the floor, on dog beds with them at night. She likes to gently play with them indoors, lazily but happily keeping each other company. Outside, she likes to romp and play, but knows how to take breaks. Here at the rescue, Millie is one of our favorite dogs to take into playgroups because of her balanced energy around other dogs. One of our on-site trainers comments that she loves Millie because she can pet Millie in groups, she doesn’t get jealous and shares affection well with other dogs. She adds that Millie can often be found lying down in the play yard, bringing some calm to the chaos.
Millie has so many “great dog” skills already, but she’s also food motivated, and praise motivated, making further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Millie is already pretty good on leash, and with a little polishing she’ll be a perfect walking companion in no time. She sits on command, knows how to catch treats, and her foster mom reports that she’s crate and potty trained. Here at the rescue, with a little push, she gets into her crate with no issue, she’s quiet and well behaved in her crate, and doesn’t whine to be let out. She loads up into the car on her own, with excitement, and settles in the backseat. She’s a total toy lover, a snuggly girl, a truly great dog.
Millie is such a joyful and vibrant girl, she’s an all natural anti-depressant, here to brighten your days. One of our staff members lovingly calls her a “cheerleader type” with the goofy, happy energy she brings to the rescue. We would be remiss not to mention her soft and mellow side, this girl is silly and playful but she’s also a total snuggle bug. She’s a couch potato in her heart of hearts, she loves to nap near her foster mom. She’s a back sleeper though, splayed out with all four paws in the air, so even her naps are sort of silly.
Millie is ready to come home with you! Her perfect home offers a sunny backyard to sunbathe and romp around in. She requests unlimited peanut butter, though we’ll leave that to your discretion. She thrives with doggy siblings, but she’s people-oriented enough to be your only child. Millie would make a phenomenal family dog, the “first rescue dog” your kids talk about for the rest of their days. Millie is also a pro in the car, and friendly with everyone she meets, so taking her out and about on adventures will be a breeze.
We are willing to test Millie with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
