Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This stunning white guy with beautiful amber-colored eyes is a complete teddybear lovebug! Called Gelgel, he was abandoned and rescued in Egypt, vetted and nursed to health, acquired a passport, and just arrived in the US. Although the trip takes over 22 hours, he quickly settled in and asked for pets and attention. He will put his paws up on your chest and ask to be held, and will even wrap his arms around your neck. He has a sweet, steady purr and is a door greeter and lap sitter. Friendly with all, he is super affectionate and is very dog-like, following foster mom all over, wanting to be involved in activities, and doesn't like to be shut away from people. Gelgel loves companionship, snuggles, and drinking from running water. He is SUPER chill so much so that his foster dad sometimes ran the vacuum right over him with no reaction. Found when he showed up outside the door of a rescuer in Egypt, he was sadly abandoned when his previous family moved and became weak, dirty, and scared (ask for his sad "before" pictures). He holds no ill feelings but does need a family willing to make a lifelong commitment to him, with LOTS of time companionship. He would be fine as the only kitty but has lived with others. He would need a gradual introduction to another cat and space to acclimate and hasn't been tested with dogs. This guy is super social, estimated to be 2 years old, healthy and medically updated so ready for his new forever people. Easy application process. Gelgel is fostered in Burke, Va. We do ask potential adopters to stay in contact so that the people in Egypt who rescued him can receive updates as they love Gelgel very much!
