Apollo is your classic Border Collie, he is handsome, energetic and oh so smart! He would do best in a home with humans with experience with his breed and have time to work one-on-one with him. Apollo already knows basic commands and shake with both paws. He is eager to please and treat motivated. Apollo`s favorite thing is squeaky toys and he would play fetch all day. We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
