My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This duo is 2 years old. ATLAS is a long-haired Peruvian and CALLIOPE is a short haired American guinea pig.

Atlas is your typical fancy pig--full of drama! He's social and will take food from your hand, but throws an epic tantrum when you try to pet him. He sometime even nips when you try to pick him up. He's even high maintenance when it comes to grooming--because he's a long-haired pig her requires weekly brushing otherwise he'll become matted and his "bangs" will grow too long for him to see.

Calliope on the other hand, she is the sweetness to Atlas's spiciness. She loves a good cuddle and all things people. She wants to sit on a lap and watch TV while being pet and fed treats. She's a petite little piggy with a good natured personality.

More about this rescue

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
