Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**BLOSSOM HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** With smooth, velvety fur, soft, kind eyes, a gentle demeanor, and adorable head tilts to die for, our beautiful, precious house cow, Blossom, is the total package! Blossom was rescued from an open-intake animal control facility in Kentucky. Unfortunately, she was brought in as a stray and was never claimed. Her history and ancestry are unknown, but she is estimated to be approximately two years of age and weighs 85 pounds. Her appearance and characteristics suggest Catahoula Leopard Dog, Mastiff, and/or Great Dane in her family tree, but without a DNA test, we cannot say for sure what breeds make up this unique beauty.
Blossom is enjoying the comforts and kindness of a foster home in Chicago while waiting to meet her forever family. She's a friendly, albeit timid, dog with new people and in new environments. A few kind words and gentle pets are all it takes for Blossom to warm up to new people, and once she does, she's your shadow. Her interests include long walks, Nylabones, Kongs, soft blankets, cushy beds, couch cuddles, and treats. Blossom's energy is generally a mellow, gentle vibe. However, she is still a very large, strong, young dog with brief moments of excitability and bursts of energy and the adorable clumsiness many young, large, and giant breeds exhibit. Because of this, a home familiar with and experienced with large, powerful dogs will be the best match for her. She's well-behaved in the home, crate trained, and housebroken but does not appear to know any commands, so her adoptive guardians should be prepared to help her learn the basics. Blossom is being fostered with other dogs and gets along well in the group but is not always aware of her size or strength when playing. If considering bringing Blossom into a home with an existing canine, a larger dog (45 pounds +) who can handle her size and play style will be best. She's a little too interested in cats, so a feline-free home is the best match for her. Blossom is ready and eager to meet you, submit your application today!
Blossom is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm tested. Her adoption fee to the rescue is $375. Blossom is in a foster home and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved. For more info or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly, and if it has been 48 hours without a reply, please follow up with an email to ensure your application was received.
• Blossom's adoption fee is $375. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare her for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on adoption fees and donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other dogs like Blossom from euthanasia.
