Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zoeyis believed to 3 years old (might be younger) , Australian Kelpie- She is only 36LBS-
She was in a shelter and was going to be euthanized because she was so scared she was shaking and refused to walk. She would do best with an other friendly dog.
She is now in home with 2 cats and is doing great. Mystic is a very sweet and affectionate girl. This is what her foster Mom has to say about Zoey:
Zoey is a really beautiful and sweet dog. She’s super gentle with our two cats and even lets them lick her bone while she’s crewing on it or stick their face in her bowl while she’s eating. She knows a recall command and sit. She responds well to correction and listens when I tell her not to do something. She’s fully potty trained and will tell you when she’s hungry or needs to go out.
She’s had a hard couple of months so she’s still learning to trust humans but gets along with dogs and cats! It takes her some time to get comfortable with new people. She avoids contact with new people and does best when people ignore her and let her come to them. Some of her hardships have been at the vet so she can be fearful while there. With treats and comfort from her human she gets through it though.
I think she’d enjoy a semi active to active life and maybe even some agility training because of her breed..She is enjoying chasing a ball in the yard. But she’s also happy cuddling on the couch.
She’s loyal, affectionate, and cuddly once she’s comfortable with her humans. She’d do best in a home that is looking to save a shelter dog and have a walking buddy, but who also understands fearful/anxious dogs. With a little patience and confidence work she’ll be a GREAT dog.
if you are interested in adopting a very sweet girl please contact us. Her adoption fee is $250
We do not adopt to family with young children.
