Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mouse (tuxedo) is a 7-year-old girl that came to MWHS as a stray, and Howard (brown tabby) is a 12-year-old boy that was trapped. They came to the shelter several years apart, but found comfort in each other and became very bonded. Their behavior is pretty similar, they are very shy but will allow petting and attention if you take your time and be patient with them.
Mouse is a chubby girl that loves her food. When you meet her she will hiss, but she is just a little drama queen that hisses to communicate for everything. The funniest thing is when you give her food and she meows and hisses because she can't wait to be fed. She doesn't play very much and she is more of a lazy girl, but she loves snuggles and sharing a food bowl with her boyfriend, Howard.
Howard also loves to pass time with Mouse and likes to cuddle with her. Howard loves to look out the window and loves food as well. If he is not comfortable, he freezes and turns into a statue, but if you go slow he loves brushing and being pet.
Mouse & Howard are like two soulmates that want to stay together and continue to share beds and bowls in a lovely and peaceful home. They will need to go with a family that has experience with shy cats, and doesn't have any dogs or children. These sweet cats have been at the shelter for several years, so they will take time to adjust to their new environment, but they can't wait to start the next chapter of their life with their own family.
As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Mouse & Howard, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Mouse & Howard.
