If you are a fan of the cutest puppy dog eyes and most adorable pout, you may want to consider taking Willie home! Willie was surrendered to us at the end of March 2024 due to his owners being truck drivers and being unable to care for him while they were on the road. Here is some information his previous owners have shared with us: - Has done well meeting new people - Spent time around the owner's grandkids (age 2 and 3) and did great - Indoor dog who spent outside dog on a leash or in a fenced yard (used to try to escape the yard as a puppy but not as an adult) - Not destructive in the home; did not chew things up - Was not crate trained, allowed to free roam the house and did fine - Previously lived with an older, smaller dog and did well. Loved to cuddle with the other dog. Has also spent time with other dogs and done well! - Has never been around cats - Is housetrained (would go stand by the door or paw at his owners to tell them he needed to go outside) - Medium to high energy - Loves to play with toys, especially tug-o-rope. Will destroy toys with a squeaker in them - Likes to sleep under the covers - Loves attention and cuddling up with his people
If Willie seems like he may be a good fit for your home come to the shelter and meet him!
