My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammie's owner came upon hard times and had to make changes to her living arrangements and was not able to take Sammie with her. Sammie is an 11 year old Spaniel mix, vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed and will be chipped. She is housetrained, good with other dogs and good on a leash. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and does fine. She rides well in a car, has been out in crowds and does well. Older girl who would love to be in a permanent home, good as a companion.

More about this shelter

Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter is a small, open door shelter. We strive to save every adoptable animal that is surrendered, orphaned, abandoned, abused and neglected. All animals are spayed/neutered at time of adoption, vaccinated. All dogs are heartworm tested/treated at time of adoption.

All procedures administered to the shelter animals are funded solely on donations. We are in constant need of monetary donations to continue the vetting of these animals.
