My story
Here's what the humans have to say about me:

First, let me say... I love this girl. She came from such a horrible situation and is just a gem.
She isn't foo foo or fluffy...she is the perfection of a real original Texas dog. Muscle toned, with beautiful eyes.
She is a 54 pound Mountain Cur Labrador Retriever mix. Honestly, I have no idea what breed she is, . besides, fabulous! She enjoys running in the sun and playing with her friends. She would be a great hiking and running buddy! Don’t let her activeness fool you though, she loves her cuddles and kisses. Her entire body wiggles when she wags her tail!
She has a wonderful temperament and plays with all the dogs in her group. She has great dog social skills, but expects others to show her the same. She gives lots of kisses, does great in the car and on a leash.
We all totally in love with her, and she is ready for her own home! Her brother Boone was adopted last month and now its her turn!

Mia was confiscated by police for total neglect and abuse along the border of Mexico. Both Mia and Astrid were nursed back to health by our techs and wonderful volunteers. There is nothing that would make them more happy than to wake up in a warm loving home.

Mia is located in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St. Augustine, Florida on December 21st, with an approved application! The adoption fee is $400 and includes transport fee.
