My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fontana arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife on January 29, 2024.

She is an extremely sweet girl. She loves spending time with people and playing with other dogs. Fontana insists on being loved and petted for as long as you can stand it. She will make sure you become friends with her!

She weighs 29 pounds, and we think she is a Carolina Dog mix.

Fontana will make an outstanding addition to a family that wants the sweetest dog ever.

The Carolina is a pack dog, so they adapt well in a social group with dogs and humans. They do possess a prey-drive, but they're not aggressive dogs. They bond and play well with children, and they're clean and intelligent.

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.
