My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello folks, meet Bella:

A German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix, born on February 11th, 2023. So, yes, she is still a puppy. Bella is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12.

She weighs approximately 80 lbs, is very smart, very sweet, loves to go for walks/hikes fast learner and food motivated. Like all her siblings, Bella loves water, so she uses the water trough as her personal pool. Bella is full of energy, and she will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, like walking, hiking, etc. Bella is a gentle soul who walks great on leash and has calm demeanor. We recommend a home with a fence that is at a minimum 6 feet tall, for her own security.

Suggestions for a successful adoption are, no small children, no small animals or farm animals, as she has not been exposed to them and she might chase.

Bella gets along and plays with her siblings; however, she should be fed separately from other animals in the home because she doesn’t like to share her food.

Bella is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Kennel and crate trained for quiet time. If you are interested in adopting Bella please contact Hickman Humane Society at +1 (866) 304-3352.

Donation
Since ALL of our funding is from donations (we are not supported by a government agency), fundraising and a few spay/neuter grants, we always need monetary donations and food and supply donations including straw and bedding material. With winter coming we could really use some more dog houses and tarps (used is welcome). Used crates are also always needed. Pick up can be arranged within a reasonable distance. Thank you for your support.
