Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Marvin was shy and shut down in the shelter, but in foster care he has blossomed into his true goofy, lovable self! Marvin loves being outside and will try to convince you that he has to potty when really he just wants to sniff the grass. He has the cutest zoomies where his ears fly back, his eyes bulge, and he runs like a hyena for approximately 10 seconds before he`s tired himself out.
Marvin`s favorite toys are chew toys, which can keep him occupied for hours, but he will also toss around a plush toy or spin it around his head like he`s at a rave. He will also tangle himself up in any blankets or roll around in them until he falls off the couch.
Marvin is a medium-energy, quiet guy who values naps just as much as playtime. He has the most adorable old man snore when he`s sleeping. He would love nothing more than to stay by your side while you work from home, cook dinner, watch TV, or just hang out on the couch. He recently learned about cuddling (sometimes he will just stand on your lap -- he`s figuring it out!) and has started sleeping in his foster mom`s lap.
He does great with other dogs and would appreciate social time, whether that`s with another dog in the home or meeting up with dog friends. He`s even good about sharing his favorite toys!
He`s got great house manners and signals when he needs to go outside. He does great in his kennel and has only barked a handful of times (usually just a single bark to say hi to a dog walking by the window). He`s picking up his training quickly, especially when he sees other dogs model the correct behavior. He knows `stop` and comes when called, but would easily pick up more cues with training.
Mavin has been out and about at adoption events and has done wonderfully around other dogs and people. He recently met a nine year old at an event and fell in love! His foster says may do well in a home with children. The key to Marvin`s heart is a soft couch, a chew toy, and lots of forehead scritches!
More about Marvin: - Good in the car - Potty trained - Calm on a leash - Doesn`t mind loud noises (vacuum and blow dry away!) - Not anxious during storms - Great about bath time/grooming in general - Doesn`t mark his territory - Is great with other dogs! - Has the cutest forehead wrinkles and white toes
