My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MY foster writes:
Leia is a sweet, energetic young dog. She loves her tennis balls and enjoys scampering around the house hunting for them! We're still working on pulling on the leash and needs a bit more time to warm up to people. Leia's a smart dog and definitely eager to learn.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

A volunteer writes: At a mobile adoption event we had 5 boroughbreds, and Leia reminded me of a chocolate swirl ice cream. Her dark chocolate coat with a little vanilla mixed in. She patiently waited to meet potential adopters and received a lot of pets and treats. Leia was vocal when she saw a volunteer giving treats to another boroughbred, she barked to ensure she didn't miss out! Of course what a girl wants, a girl gets! Come meet her at our Manhattan location and bring her some treats!
