My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would like to introduce Ember. We pulled her from the county shelter a few days ago before she was returned to field. She had just been spayed and ear tipped and would have been turned out the next morning.

Ember is a little uncertain of people, but is making a lot of progress. She allows us to touch her and pet her and she loves her food. She will occasionally hiss at us but has never tried to bite or hit.

She needs a patient home that will continue to work with her and show her that not all people are bad!

More about this rescue

Five Friends Animal Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based animal welfare organization of volunteers dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters, strays, and owner surrenders. We provide these animals with care and temporary homes until we can place them into their permanent homes. We also serve as a resource to our community by providing information on pet ownership, including resources for spay/neuter and positive behavior training. We believe that no animal should be mistreated and are working towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.
