My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Timone (6Y) is a great single ferret that has been at Ferret Dreams since January 2023. Timone was surrendered as a group of three because his owners were going through a divorce and were no longer able to care for them. His two bonded companions have passed away, leaving Timone as a single ferret.

Timone is energetic, playful and friendly. He enjoys spending his time playing with humans and receiving special attention. He is a very happy ferret that can often be found teasing his humans. He loves to play chase throughout the house and wrestle. Timone can be a bit too aggressive during playtime and can bite his humans. Due to this behavioral concern, experienced applicants without young children in the home are preferred.

Timone has not had experiences with cats or dogs. Like all our single ferrets, Timone does not get along with other ferrets.

Single ferrets are not suitable for all households. They require far more time and attention than ferrets with a bonded companion. Single ferrets do best in households with an adult home most of the day to provide enrichment and out of cage time.

Timone has adrenal disease and has responded well to his annual hormonal implant. This condition is covered by our Medical Addendum, which will pay all costs for the life of the animal. Please do not be discouraged by this treatable condition.

All of our ferrets have been neutered (spayed / castrated) and descented. They have received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies but we cannot guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.

Timone’s adoption fee is $125.

Our Mile High Ferret Club is an excellent opportunity to interact with the local ferret community. The monthly gatherings encourage ferret owners to bring their healthy and non-aggressive ferrets to play and socialize with others. These events also act as fundraisers to benefit the rescue. More details can be found on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/milehighferretclub.
