My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caelan is a remarkable young adult male cat with a heartwarming story of resilience. This handsome brown tabby was found by a guardian angel, suffering from an unusual injury that left him with two broken back legs. Initially suspected to be the result of a car accident, it was later discovered that his injuries were due to a twisting injury.

Thanks to the incredible work of his veterinary team, Caelan underwent surgical repair of his legs, complete with hardware. He is now on the road to recovery but will need lifelong close monitoring and ongoing veterinary care. To ensure he stays healthy and happy, Caelan must not be allowed to jump, as this could lead to reinjury.

Despite his challenges, Caelan’s spirit remains unbroken. He is a sweet and affectionate boy who is looking for the perfect family to provide him with the safe and loving home he deserves. Caelan needs a calm environment where he can continue his healing journey and enjoy a life filled with love and care.

If you have a special place in your heart for a cat like Caelan and can commit to his ongoing care, please consider opening your home to this extraordinary boy. Caelan is ready to share his love and gratitude with a family who will cherish him and keep him safe.

Are you the special someone who can give Caelan the forever home he needs? Come meet him today and see just how special he is!

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application. This application is reviewed, references checked and approved or not. Kittens under the age of 6 months are not adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years for the safety of both the kitten and the children. Potential adopters must be at least 18 years old. Renters must have landlord approval. Occasionally a home check is done for cats if there are concerns. All adopters must fill out and sign a contract. If the animal does not work out for any reason, we insist it is returned to us. The fee for cats 6 months old and older is $125. Kittens adoptions fee is $150. We require the animal is cared for and has regular vaccinations. If we feel a cat will be allowed to go outside or declawed, this is cause for a refusal.

Go meet their pets

The local Petco and PetSmart stores has allowed our group to partner with them in promoting responsible pet care and adoption. We have several animals housed in habitats at Great Falls PetCo and PetSmart stores. We also have an adoption event every Saturday in their stores for our animals from 12-3pm.

More about this rescue

The Pet Paw-see is an entirely volunteer organization made up of people passionate about animal welfare. We take in unwanted, stray, injured and owner turn-in pets. All of our animals are given a vet check, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and any other medical needs addressed prior to being available for adoption. They are all put into either foster care or boarding. We are also allowed to keep up to 8 cats at a time at our local Petco Store. They built our group a cat habitat in the store for viewing and meeting our cats.

We also have cats at the Great Falls PetSmart store

In addition to rescue and adoptions, we are very active in education on responsible pet ownership, trap neuter release of feral cats, and a senior cat for senior adult program.
