My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amelia's adoption fee has been paid by Linda Schaller, in hopes it will help her find a forever home soon. Why is Amelia still here? She has lived in our care for 286 lonely days. Though Amelia spends time with the other dogs, and gets lots of love from staff and volunteers, this is not her home. No puppy should grow up in a shelter. She was part of an unwanted and unsold litter who was left in a field until they could be brought in. They weren't socialized with people until they came in.
"Amelia is super sweet. She's pretty scared and skittish at first, but once she knows you, she'll soak up any attention you'll give her. She'll jump up on you for attention, and while she definitely enjoys treats, she also likes pets and love a little more. Amelia is afraid of loud noises and fast movements, but she really opens up with other animals. She would make a great cuddle buddy when she's comfortable with you." Jill, Dog Associate

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The whole process is easy and takes a matter of in-office minutes. While we like for our animals to find homes, we require adopting families to meet in our shelter. That way you can meet your new family member and make sure he/she is the one for you. Then we do the paperwork which takes only a little time. We look forward to meeting you.
