Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Betty Sue was surrendered with an older daughter kitten and two new kittens. She was being fed, however the homeowners were not interested in caring for her because she kept having kittens. Betty was an excellent, caring mom, they've been adopted, now it's her turn to find her forever home. Betty Sue is still in foster care with her daughter Bobbi Jo. They're pretty close, however can be adopted separately. Betty Sue is sweet, a "certified" couch potato! She very much enjoys gentle handling, being brushed and petted. If you are looking to add a quiet companion, look no further. Please call the shelter at 845-414-9700 or email gentlesouls for more information or to schedule a visit! Thank you.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
