Sally is 7 years old and weighs 61 pounds. She is extremely affectionate and attentive with people, and well behaved in stressful situations such as at the vet. She knows sit, shake, and lie down. She went through a period of depression when first in rescue, homesick for her former owner. Her best new home would be with a single woman, but she can adapt. She likes other dogs but might play too rough for small ones. Spayed, current on shots. Fee $75. Apply at morganspot.org.

SPOT has an adoption application at morganspot.org. It asks for a vet reference and takes a day or less to be approved. We also have an adoption contract in which the adopter agrees to provide good care, not sell the pet, and return it to SPOT if there are problems.

Go meet their pets

SPOT attends Mingle With Our Mutts at the Franklin County shelter in Columbus, Ohio, every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. We host a Mutt Strutt on the Saturday after Mothers Day in May, a free event to promote spay/neuter and showcase dogs. All our pets are in foster care and we are very flexible about meeting arrangements.

Our mission is to reduce the numbers for unwanted pets in Morgan County. We rescue, foster, and adopt out dogs, cats, and horses. We provide low-cost or free spay/neuter services for pets of low-income owners and have an emergency pet food pantry for those in need.
We do out-of-state adoptions and recommend RescueRidersTransport for long trips.
