Jason was born about January 20, 2021 and is a wonderful medium sized kitty. Jason has fabulous, colorful, tiger markings along with silky white fur. Jason was found in the city by a young man named Jason and I noticed the photo on the lost and found site where he tried to locate the owners. We had had a few kitty adoptions recently so I reached out with the offer to take him in if no owner surfaced. The human, Jason, was a bit reluctant to turn him into a shelter, but decided it was for the better. As I write this he's been here about 6 weeks as he wasn't ready to leave us for a while. Sadly, upon arrival he seemed to have become depressed not wanting to eat. After about a week of daily fluids and us force feeding just enough to keep all systems moving he decided to eat some really yummy food and now is eating normal Science Diet cat food and he is steadily gaining weight. It is likely that when he does find his forever home he will likely, once again, loose his appetite and need some tempting food until he once again adjusts to the new forever home. Also, at first, we noticed when we ran our hands down his back that he would quiver and we worried he was in pain. Once he had decided to live and became moving around he had no problems walking or jumping. The quivering continued with our touch and since he was fine physically we had to assume this behavior was out of immense fear - how sad! Realizing this we have been very gentle and loving to him and this behavior is lessening. So....we feel no little kids in his next life as we are sure he'd appreciate a home on the calm, quiet, and loving side. He is very sweet and will choose to be near you or in your lap once he realizes you are the best thing that has ever happened to him. It may take him a bit of time to adjust again, but it should go much smoother than it did coming here and going into the Cat House and having no idea that a good thing just happened to him. He is wonderful with all the other cats, but seemed a bit concerned about the dogs nearby when doing photos. If he goes to a home with a dog it needs to be a very cat friendly dog. Jason just needs one more hero in his life and he'll reward you for your kindness!!! A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime. The ADOPTION FEE for this feline is: $125.00. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
All kittens/cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas and tested negative for FIV/FELV.
