Meet Riley, a 14 week-old Border Collie / Australian cattle dog puppy with a tale to tell. This little bundle of joy was found in a precarious situation, being given away for free at the off ramp of a bustling high desert freeway. Luckily, fate intervened, and a compassionate group of individuals from Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue happened to drive by at just the right moment. Without hesitation, they decided to take him in and provide him with the love and care he deserves.

His story gets more complicated when he's actually adopted from our rescue at 9 weeks old.

Today his adopters contacted us to let us know they "don't want Riley anymore. He's too much of a puppy."

He is now searching for his real true furever home.

Riley is the epitome of a fairytale puppy, with his adorable looks and playful nature that will surely melt your heart. He had quickly become a beloved member of the rescue, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he meets. As a responsible rescue organization, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue wasted no time in ensuring Riley wellbeing. We took him to receive his puppy vaccinations, ensuring his health and safety.

Looking towards the future, our rescue has already made plans to sponsor Riley's neuter surgery at the Simi Valley Spay Neuter clinic when he reaches the appropriate age of six months.
