My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Holly, a charming Heeler mix, ready to find her forever home! At 7.5 months old, Holly is a bit shy when she first meets someone. But don't let that fool you – once she warms up, she adores getting all the attention. She's current with her vaccinations, ensuring she's healthy and ready to join your family.

Holly is looking for someone who understands her initial shyness and can give her the love and patience she needs to blossom. She promises lots of love and joy in return. If you're ready to welcome Holly into your life, we encourage you to complete an adoption application at www.icarearkansas.com/application.

Looking to meet Holly? Our shelter doors are open on Saturdays from 9am to noon, located at 214 Circle Dr in Melbourne, next to the sheriff's office. If Saturdays don't work for you, or if you have any questions, feel free to call us at 870-368-5000. We're more than happy to arrange a meeting time that suits your schedule better. .

More about this shelter

ICARE is a non-profit organization dedicated to compassionate animal care and alleviating animal suffering. It was established in 2002 and quickly gained momentum, holding a significant public meeting in April 2003, featuring a guest speaker from the Humane Society of Independence County. This meeting led to the election of officers and a Board of Directors.

Today, ICARE operates entirely on the strength of volunteers. These dedicated individuals in Izard County work tirelessly to support the organization’s mission, providing care and relief to animals in need.
