My name is Darcy!

Darcy , aka Mr.  Darcy  is dapper black and white long-haired guy. With his fancy tuxedo look and his charm and sophistication, he is a distinguished gentleman. Despite his special needs,  Darcy  craves attention and isn't shy about showing it, often rubbing his face on your hand to encourage more petting.

This cuddly and affectionate kitty is a true companion, confident in new places and easygoing when it comes to travel in his carrier. While he may have low energy levels,  Darcy  still enjoys occasional playtime, especially with his favorite catnip bananas. When it's time to rest, you can find him curled up in a snuggly bed or on a soft towel-covered chair. Due to his age and special needs, he would do best in a home with no children. He’d do fine as a singleton, and he would also do fine with other cats as he currently lives with several others. 

Known Medical Issues: Despite his medical history, including perineal urethrostomy  (PU) surgery and ongoing dietary needs,  Darcy  remains a well-mannered and gentle soul. He tolerates grooming and bathing, although arthritis in his legs can make him fidgety during clippings. He uses the litter box just fine. but due to his PU surgery, he does have leakage of urine from his stoma. He uses paper litter to avoid issues of litter in his fur or stomas which also helps decrease the change of a urinary infection. Nonetheless,  Darcy  is a resilient feline who deserves a loving home where he can spend his remaining years in comfort and dignity.
