My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lewy--which means "left" in the Polish language. His head tilts a bit to the left due to a severe ear infection which had gone undetected and untreated. He is quite timid, but he loves to be petted; if you put your hand out slowly he will come and rub his head all over your hand while purring. He always lays on his back and shows his belly when you walk in.

Lewy needs someone patient who will work with him to build his confidence more, give him lots of love, and teach him how to play with cat toys. He loves using his scratching post. He enjoys Temptations cat treats!

He is FIV positive and he seems to have some hearing loss as a result of his ear infection. This kitty is looking for a special home with someone who has experience with kitties like him. We recommend a home with no children.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2013, The Cat Ambassador is a small organization that helps cats . . . and their people.

One of our main objectives is to reduce the number of cats entering an already overburdened shelter system. The Cat Ambassador strongly advocates spay/neuter (may include Trap-Neuter-Return) to prevent pet overpopulation, as well as microchipping to increase the chances that lost cats will be reunited with their owners, instead of entering the shelter system as strays.

The overall goal is to keep cats healthy, happy, and free from harm through assistance, advocacy, and education.

We are always looking for fosters, volunteers and donations to help cats in need! Please contact us to learn more about The Cat Ambassasdor.
