The IDEAL HOME will have two (or even LOTS more!) children, a VERY LARGE FENCED YARD, as well as someone home most of the time. Kelpies crave time to give their love and companionship. This is NOT an apartment dog. If you're looking for a FABULOUS girl to entertain your family, join you on daily RUNNING (or even walking) go hiking/beach/baseball games, THIS IS YOUR GIRL!

We hardly have to mention that Nikki is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING- everywhere she goes she turns heads! Her grace, poise and charm turn heads. She is alert and aware of everthing in her environment.

Also on her Doggy Resume is RODENT CONTROL! If you have a gopher or rodent issue of any kind, this FAST and bright girl will save you thousands of dollars in Pest Control.

Nikki is an alpha girl, so any companion doggy should be mellow. She has not been tested with felines, but generally Kelpies are known to do well with family HOUSE cats (we can't guarantee outdoor cats though!)

Australian Kelpies are in the same category as Aussies, Border Collies, etc. They are ALL VERY VERY VERY VERY Smart. That means they are NOT ideal for first time dog owners who have had no experience with these kinds of breeds. Nikki has basic training and the ideal adoption candidate to be her new family will be prepared to CONTINUE her training the minute she graces your front door.
