Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What is a pocket mastiff?? In this case, all the joy of a mastiff, with velvet fur and soulful eyes, but....slightly smaller! Cooper is an absolute DREAM of a dawg. At 80 pounds, he's barely a big boy! But he loves with a heart 3 sizes larger - no grinch here!
Here's the lowdown on this velvety heartthrob:
Cooper is a velcro dog. He loves to be with his pack and his people. He will follow you everywhere, and would prefer to never be out of sight of his family. Like to have visitors? NO WORRIES, because this gentle boy LOVES PEOPLE. He will flash his shiny chompers in a stunning smile to greet family and visitors. Adding this fella to your family will be easy, because he plays well with all dogs, big and small. Cooper is gentle and understands that he is big! He loves to cuddle up with his humans and sleep next to you either in your bed or his.
This pup is trained. He is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and knows the commands to sit and stay. Cooper loves to ride in the car. When you leave the house, he cannot be crated. We think Cooper is an excellent candidate for the position of Emotional Support Animal.
Cooper rarely barks. His communication style is subtle, but he will whine when he needs something such as a bathroom break or a snack.
Cooper craves companionship and needs a home where he'll be the center of attention, with daily walks and brain puzzles to keep his clever mind busy. He needs a stable home where someone will spend time with him and not leave him for long hours. He's not interested in sharing a home with loud children. Do we blame him? Not one bit.
He's VERY smart and currently learning how to use talking buttons in his foster home. He's the type of dog who would be thrilled to join you at the park, or on a restaurant patio. He's chill and enjoys chilled out, quieter environments.
This handsome fella is all set with vaccinations, neutering, and microchipping.
Through allergy testing we've found out that Cooper has some food intolerances which require prescription medication (Apoquel) and limited ingredient dog food. Managing Cooper's allergies is a priority for his well-being, and ensuring he receives the necessary prescription medication and a diet of limited ingredient dog food is essential for managing his health. He's currently eating Merrick Limited Ingredient Diet Grain-Free Chicken-Free Real Lamb & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food and Wellness Ninety-Five Percent Lamb Grain-Free Canned Dog Food with great success.
