Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willa is a happy, playful and somewhat timid 4-5 month old Catahoula Leopard mix. Despite having little human contact prior to coming to our rescue, little Willa steadily blossomed into a confident, affectionate and joyful bundle of love who now actually seeks out cuddles with people.
The first thing you notice about sweet Willa is her beautiful blue eyes and soft gray-black-white dappled coat. And then you’ll be captivated by her amazing ears that seem to have their own personality. But what sticks with you long after meeting this little girl is her delightful personality. Willa is a sweet, inquisitive pup who loves to observe and explore her surroundings. She plays well with other dogs, shows mild but mannered interest in the resident cat, and cautiously but consistently warms up to new visitors.
While Willa is the most shy of her littermates, she also seems to be the most observant and attentive. She has quickly bonded with her caretakers at the rescue and loves to follow them around the playgrounds. She’s also the first to sprint to us when called! A quick learner, she already knows "Sit", "Down", "Watch", is learning "Wait" and "Place" and walks well on a leash. She makes great eye-contact with those big blue eyes of hers, and listens intently to voice commands.
It has been wonderful to see Willa blossom from a timid, skittish pup into a playful, confident and calm little girl. She will make a wonderful addition to any loving family. Our adoption donation includes Willa's spay surgery, scheduled for 3/25/24 as well as microchip and age-appropriate vaccinations. As Willa has some herding tendencies and is still uncomfortable with young, active children we feel he needs to go to an adult-only home or one with older, calm kids.
