Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you a sucker for blue eyes? We are too!
Meet handsome Bluey, a 4-5 month old Labrador/ Catahoula/ Shepherd mix (?) who came to us in February with his 3 littermates. These pups had never known human touch but boy oh boy it didn’t take them long to learn how great people can be. Blue just needed a little time, patience and space to build his trust and let his true joyful personality shine through. And can you believe it, it was actually a CAT (our resident rescue kitty) who was able to coax Blue out of his crate and help him take his first tentative steps in the puppy playground. And our Blue never looked back!
This sweet boy is now becoming confident, inquisitive, affectionate and playful. He engages with his littermates, other rescue pups and all of his human rescue buddies with a joyful, exuberant spirit. A smart boy, Blue already knows "Sit", "Down", "Watch", "Wait" and "Place". He readily accepts a harness and leash and waits patiently at the door for his turn to go out and potty. And impressively, he walks GREAT on a leash, keeping pace with his human while he occasionally stops to smell the spring flowers.
We are delighted to see how quickly and confidently Blue has adapted to his new environment. And he is ready to show his new family just how special he is! Our adoption donation includes Blue's neuter surgery, scheduled for 3/25/24 as well as microchip and age-appropriate vaccinations. As Bluey has some herding tendencies and is still uncomfortable with young, active children we feel he needs to go to an adult-only home or one with older, calm kids.
