Brooke is an incredible girl! She is currently in Tampa where it took here well over a week to come out of her shell and decompress. When she came to us she was so terrified that it took 3 days to coax her out of her kennel! We had to put a grass pad in there for her so she felt safe to do her business. All we knew about her is that she was found off a rural road in south Miami where we get so many of our females in rescue. We don't know what she's gone through but she probably has a story to tell for sure. There are scars on her from some sort of trauma or accident but this girl is relentless! She has proven to put the past behind her and we couldn't be more proud of Brooke!
This girl really loves hanging out with her crush, Marvin. They run around the yard and enjoy each other's company so she would do great in a home with another friendly male dog. Female dogs...not so much! Maybe it's because she doesn't want to share her man but whatever it is, Brooke doesn't seem to like the females. She is a BOSS B! Her energy is fabulous and we all love her vibrant personality. Brooke is a KISSER and she loves so hard so watch out! She wants to love and can't control her emotions to let you know this. She is going to make such a great addition to the family that gets her and they will just fall in love with this dog from day one.
Brooke weighs about 92 pounds and loves to eat and get treats. We don't know how she is with cats and have no way to test that but our guess is, a cat in the home would not be ideal. She hasn't been around kids yet either but since she loves so hard, no young children for sure. We don't know if she is housebroken but she does keep her kennel space clean and loves a soft bed and blankies. We can't wait to find Brooke a furever home, she is ready!
