You sent Duke: The Noble Guardian with a Heart of Gold
Meet Duke, the wise country dog whose soul is as vast as the open fields he adores. With a vigilant eye and a noble heart, Duke takes his self-appointed sentry duties seriously, keeping watch over his domain with the dedication of a seasoned pro.
*General Personality:* Duke is the epitome of a laid-back gentleman, preferring the comfort of naps and the joy of a good chew on his beloved rawhide bone. Yet, when excitement stirs, he expresses his glee with a playful foot tap and a wagging tail, embodying the spirit of a happy, beautiful boy.
*Companionship:* In the car or on a lead, Duke is an exemplary traveler, navigating life's journeys with ease. He cherishes his smaller furry foster siblings, offering them nothing but love and indifference to the larger canines next door. A bit shy at first, especially around men, Duke's trust blooms with time, revealing his true, affectionate nature.
*Eating Habits:* A food enthusiast, Duke's appetite is hearty, but he's learning the fine art of moderation. Nighttime finds him snoozing on the couch, though a secured pantry is a must to prevent any midnight snack escapades.
*Outdoor Preferences:* Your garden is safe with Duke; he's no digger but a connoisseur of grassy rolls and leisurely lounging. While he's a friend to children, he's better suited for a home without livestock or cats, given his playful pursuit of goats in the past.
*Home Life:* Crate training? Duke's amenable, though he much prefers the luxury of your pillows for his restful retreats.
*Duke's Promise:* This special boy is on a quest for a forever home where his tranquil presence will fill your days with laughter and light. Duke's inner beauty shines as brightly as his outer, promising a life enriched by his companionship.
*Ideal Home:* - A peaceful abode where naps are treasured - A family that appreciates the simple joys of life - A pantry secured, but hearts wide open - A soft spot for rolling in the grass - A no-livestock, no-cat policy for harmonious living - A preference for pillow forts over crates
Duke is ready to embark on his next great adventure – into your heart and home. Will you be the one to offer this noble guardian the loving forever home he seeks? 🏡❤️

More about this rescue
To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.
To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.
We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
