My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

wagoninn.rescuegroups.org

Tia is a terrific girl who came from our partner in Louisiana and is now in a NJ foster home!

Tia is a sweet, patient girl. She's been patiently waiting since May 2023 to be picked. Tia was at our partner shelter, living in a kennel for quite some time. We are elated she is now in a foster home getting lots of love and attention. She's in foster with 2 kids of all ages and she is great with them. Tia is dog friendly with most dog but might do best with another large male dog or would be ok as the only dog.

Tia is a big mush and just wants to be loved and give the love right back.  Giving kisses is one of her favorite things to do along with chewing on her bones and chasing a ball.  She loves to go for walks as much as she loves to snuggle on the couch. Tia is getting better with leash walking and does best on a harness.  She does well with the kids in her foster home, but might not be suited for a home with very young kids as sometimes she doesn't realize how big she is. Tia loves car rides and prefers to ride shotgun!

Tia is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
