My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***COURTESY POST***
Stella Belle was lucky to find us last winter. She was trapped and went thru the SPCA TNR clinic. We found out she was already spayed, tame, and had owners at one time in her life. We had planned to keep her but she does not like the company of other cats. They give her extreme stress when she is near them. She needs a home with a calm environment where she is the only pet and will enjoy life as the diva she is.
We believe she may have been abused in her former home and later dumped. She may be shy for a short period of time in a new home. She only hides if she fears danger of some sort. She loves to be brushed for a few minutes a day- she bonds quickly with the person who brushes her and feeds her. She likes to have a container of quality dry food out at all times. She likes 1/2 a can of gravy flavors canned food twice a day and temptation treats. She is great with the litter box but likes it cleaned daily. She uses cardboard and sisal scratching posts.
When she becomes comfortable in her new home, she will want to sit on your lap and be in the same room as you are. She is very talkative and expressive. She is small in stature with munchkin legs. She responds to her name, the only one she accepted after tons of suggestions. The vet thinks she is around 3 years old. She was a good patient at her first vet visit. We must have a vet reference to adopt her. She will get her shots updated when she has a committed new human to love her. She must be a 100% indoor cat. Her life outside was traumatic for her trying to survive. If, for some reason, she does not work out in your household we will take her back.
For more info, you can text Charla at 717-495-5647 or call 717-854-8663 if interested in giving her a second chance at a safe life as an indoor only cat.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Visit us here... https://heavenlypaws.wordpress.com/adoption-process/

The adoption fee is $120 for kittens.
Adults vary from $40-$100.

The adoption fee covers them being tested for leukemia and aids, their initial vaccines(distemper), a vet check-up, treatment for fleas, worms, parasites, ear mites, and their nails trimmed. If the cat/kitten is old enough they may have more done for them, such as, rabies vaccine and second distemper vaccine.

Also if they are old enough, they will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. If they are not spayed or neutered prior to adoption, you will be given a spay/neuter certificate for one of our local vets. If you choose to use your own vet, we will take $20 off the adoption fee.

Our fees are very reasonable, considering you get about $300-500 worth of pet care when you adopt from us. Since we are non-profit, any donations and adoption fees are a tax-write off for you.

More about this rescue

The mission of Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter is to provide housing, care, and treatment for sick, injured, abused, homeless, and handicapped domestic animals. The shelter will remain a no kill facility. As long as space is available, no domestic animal shall be turned away. The shelter works with local veterinarians to treat the animals and obtain all necessary vaccinations. Spay and neutering services are required to help decrease the spread of deadly diseases and help control the unwanted animal population. The shelter is also working with local municipalities to control the escalating stray cat population in York County. We strive to strengthen the human-animal relationship through education and a referral service. We speak at numerous organizations and clubs throughout the county to spread awareness
