**Dennis is a Patient Paw, who has been available for adoption since March 22, 2024. Please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**
Age: 1 year 4 months old Weight: 28.5 kg / 62.8 lbs
A bit about me: - had lived with dogs and would do good with a doggy friend - upon successful D2D meeting - unknown history with cats; slow, supervised intros recommended - Adults and Teens okay. Not recommended for a home with small children as he does not realize how big he is could knock them over
Are you ready for this much energy?? Dennis has the biggest heart, and a sweet manner that is constantly interrupted by his antics. He is still working on greeting new people politely, but is working hard to learn the best ways to say hi! Dennis can easily become frustrated when he is asked to perform a difficult skill, or his body language is not respected, so we are looking for a home with adults and teens only that can provide Dennis with plenty of mental and physical enrichment, as well as patient, consistent training that can set him up for success. Dennis does well with a doggy playmate who can keep up with his energy, and plenty of space to roam and explore - he`s not a fan of crates or confinement but would do well with a large yard or access to a rural property. In a consistent, structured home, you`ll see Dennis` sweet, snuggly, couch buddy side and be rewarded with an amazing pup who will someday make a great adventure buddy and couch snuggler! Welcome Dennis home today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
