SKYLAR is a happy, loving 2 year old Catahoula mix looking for a home to enjoy life with her human(s).
She's a great girl, all about pleasing her people.
Skylar has a medium energy level, enjoys going for walks/hikes/trails, but is also content to hang out and be chill.
She's up for any adventure, activity or couch cuddle time with you.
Beautiful girl with gorgeous eyes, likes to be inside, laying by your feet while you work.
Great human companion.
Dog friendly with male dogs her size but prefers to be the only female dog.
Housetrained.
Crate trained.
Sleeps through the night in her crate and would happily sleep on a dog bed in your room.
Not destructive inside or outside.
Food motivated and loves treats.
Knows basic commands 'sit, come' and would love to learn more. Super smart due to breed.
Walks well on leash.
Rides well in the car.
Squirrels and cats are fun for her to chase, so no small dogs, cats or critters in her new home.
Not a big barker.
Doesn't mind being in her crate for a few hours, but we are looking for a home where she will not be left alone for long hours.
A home with a fully fenced yard would be best.
Skylar is 55 lbs. spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.
Happy to answer any questions you might have.
Thank you for considering sweet Skylar!

More about this rescue
We save precious lives! We rescue dogs that are at risk for euthanasia in shelters or owner surrenders. We bring these adoptable dogs into loving quality foster homes, attend to their needs, and then place them into their forever homes.
Our fosters families are essential to our rescue efforts! We can only save dogs when we have foster families willing to help give the dogs rescued the TLC they deserve. If you are interested in volunteering, fostering, or adopting we are happy to talk to you in detail about our rescue efforts.
When we rescue a dog and see their progress it is a celebration!
