Hi! My name is Sparky!

Sparky is a joyful, outgoing dog who makes fast friends with everyone he meets—whether they have two legs or four!

He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and enjoys a good romp in the yard. He`s the life of the party at playtime, but he also knows how to calm down and relax when the fun is over.

One of Sparky`s favorite things is going on car rides. Just say the word, and he’ll be by your side, tail wagging, eager for the next adventure. Sparky is the perfect co-pilot.

Sparky is also a fan of toys—especially ones he can chase or tug on! He’ll happily entertain himself with a chew toy or engage in a game of fetch. His playful spirit shines through, but he’s equally content curling up next to you after a fun day.

This smart boy knows his basic commands and is eager to please. He`s got `sit,` `stay,` and `come` down, and he’s always ready to learn more. Sparky is treat-motivated, making training sessions both fun and productive. Sparky would thrive in a home where he can be active, loved, and included in family life. Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
