EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM 05/25/24 Name: Olive Animal ID: A833194 Age: 1 year 2 months Weight: 52 lbs. About: Meet this sweet girl, Olive. Olive was previously on a deadline and found placement with a foster but due to an incident that resulted in a bite she was returned for quarantine. Olive will need to find placement with an adopter through PACC before 3pm on Saturday 05/25/24. Anyone interested in Olive MUST come to PACC before her deadline on Saturday May 25, 2024, before 3pm. Interested parties will sign in to meet with a councilor to go over Olive’s history and then will get to meet her in a yard to be sure that it is a good fit.
Olive came to PACC at the beginning of March, she was dumped in one of the yards here at the shelter. The shelter is a hard place for dogs, with over 500 barking dogs, some dogs really struggle and unfortunately Olive is having a hard time in the shelter. She overstimulates in her kennel; jumping up, grabbing the leash, and nipping, when it is time to come out for walks. As a result, Olive does have a minor bite on her record; she was jumping up and being nippy, trying to grab the leash and unfortunately, she did nip the staff on the arm. Once Olive is away from the noisy shelter she walks nicely on a leash and is a very sweet and friendly girl.
Olive has been introduced to other dogs in a playgroup, she can be a little forward when first meeting new dogs, she does listen when other dogs are asking her to give them space. Olive has been successful in the shelter when trying to find her a buddy to share her kennel with. However, Olive would like to meet any dogs that she would be going home with, just to be sure they are a good fit for each other.
If you are interested in adopting Olive, you MUST come to PACC before 3pm on Saturday 05/25/24 and ask to meet her.
