Meet Skipper!

This two-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix is the total package—brains, beauty, and a heart full of love! At 46 lbs, Skipper is the perfect size for adventure and snuggles. She’s house and crate trained, knows her commands, and is always eager to learn more (especially if treats are involved!).

Skipper has been with the rescue for almost a year, patiently waiting for her perfect match. She needs a kind and patient adopter who will give her time to feel safe—because once she does, she will love you with her whole heart. She’s incredibly sweet, smart, and full of personality, making every day with her an absolute joy.

She adores walks, exploring, and being with her people, and she’s ready to find the forever home where she can truly shine. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your best friend through it all, Skipper is your girl!

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
