Adele is an exceptional beauty, a Maine Coon-mix Caliby (part calico/part tabby). Her Main Coon features include a silky fluffy coat, tufted feet, and gorgeous plume of a tail. She is no ordinary cat.
While Adele is reserved with new people, she is exquisitely affectionate, playful, and bonded with those who she knows. Therefore, Adele's ideal adopter will have the patience to let her gain trust and confidence with a new person in a new home on her own timeline.
Adele loves interactive play with wand toys. She even has a custom made 5 foot wand with a turkey feather attached! Although, she also enjoys the Go Cat-Cat Catcher, felt ribbon Cat Charmer, and the Cat Dancer. Adele's adopter should plan for daily interactive play sessions to help build her confidence in a new home.
For self-play, Adele loves the "Hex Bug" robotic bug battery-operated cat toy! She absolutely loves the chase - she is a real huntress. She also likes to talk to people and can hold decent conversations with our volunteers.
Adele loves to be brushed. Brushing is good for her medium length coat, but it is not just for vanity; as a kittens, the mother cat licks her kittens to clean and soothe them, brushing mimics this soothing memory.
Once Adele gets to know you, she loves to be pet. She makes her wishes known by flopping down right up against you, or partly on your lap. It's just a matter of time before she is a lap cat!
When she is alone, Adele loves to sit on her cat tree and watch outside the window. She would be amenable to being acclimated to another cat or cat-friendly dog. If you are looking to add some love to your life, please consider Adele. Adoption Application here: http://bit.ly/2io0Y7L
