Gracie is a wonderful and joyful girl. She is slowly warming up to people and new situations, but has been making excellent progress. She absolutely loves walking on a leash every morning with her foster buddies. She is in a foster home with cats, small and medium dogs. She would love a playful friend. Having a confidant dog in the home has has been so helpful for her to learn new things. She LOVES to go for walks. chasing lizards and playing fetch with her tennis ball. She goes outside to do her businesses. She keeps a clean kennel over night or while you are at work, preferring to go potty outside. She is very treat motivated. She has been spayed, and is doing wonderful with training!
She is 10 pounds and estimated to be 1-2 years old.
PUPDATE~~~ Gracie is now with a new foster in Bradenton. We are in need of a foster that is retired or has a set schedule, and knows something about dog behaviour, ya dont have to be an expert BUT you do need to know
1. Gracie is very slow to respond to change and she is very very shy and scared in new situations
2. She will absolutely need another kind patient dog or dogs to be around
3. she will absolutely need a fenced yard.
4. She does love to go for walks
IF you are a kind patient loving person who can take the time to spend with Gracie, she will become your best friend. Currently she is in a rather raucous home with 10 hard core partying dogs, and they scare her.She will take time to get used to this situation and while it will happen with time, we would prefer to get her into a quieter situation ASAP. She is really a sweet dog who is just not adjusting well in this noisy household. I knew this would happen, but her prior foster had to move her. Gracie is shy with men, I dont have any of those so she needs someone that has exposure to them. If anyone can help that would be awesome. THis is a great little gal only 12 pds and in need. THank you so much..

More about this rescue
We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
