The first thing that you notice about Ducky is that she only has one eye, however that doesn’t slow down this little kitten at all. Ducky is a little ball of energy, but just as sweet as her mother. She loves all types of toys and is a very curious kitty. She doesn’t mind sitting on your lap but only when she’s very tired! Otherwise, she prefers to spend all of her time playing. Ducky loves any and all toys. Some of her favorites are crinkle balls and feathers.
Bunny and baby Ducky wandered onto a front porch this winter. They were regularly fed, but had only a thin nylon house for shelter. After Ducky developed a problem with one of her eyes, those feeding them eventually reached out to the Chicago Cat Rescue for help. Unfortunately, by the time the Rescue learned about Ducky’s eye, it was severely infected and had to be removed, but this hasn’t slowed her down at all!
Bunny and Ducky both have similar favorite sleep spots. They like to sleep on cozy chairs, in the sun on the daybed, or in their carrier. Sometimes they even sleep curled up next to each other!
We plan to place Bunny and Ducky in a forever home together as they have been together all of Ducky’s life. Both would benefit from having a companion and playmate.
If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215. No texts, please.
CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.
At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.
Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.
Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
