Pippa is a beautiful 1 year old red Boxer/Bulldog/Bourdeaux mix and is looking for her forever home.
Pippa was found wandering the streets of KCK and it is suspected she was thrown from a car after having a litter of puppies. It took her some time to warm up to the members of her foster family and is now best friends with her 2 year old human sister and 10 pound dog sister. She is a shy girl when meeting new people and will need a family that understands dogs with a traumatic past life.
Pippa LOVES running in the backyard, playing fetch and chewing on her toys. She has learned the command SIT, showing promise with "leave it, and we recently found out she is good around our pet chickens!
She would do best in a home with older children and warms up to women faster than men.
Pippa is loyal, loving and protective. She has learned to trust people and will be an absolute joy to add to your family.
Pippa is fully house trained, kennel trained, up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.

More about this rescue
The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.
Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.
Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs). Visit our website to learn more about us at heartofamericahs.org.
