I'm so sad for Bullet... he needs a home !! He is soo sweet and calm. He was terrorized by someone shooting at him using hunting bullets and is FIV positive which has not stopped him from being a loving darling of an orange and white tabby. He sits next to you and loves to be petted, he gently sticks his paw out and touches you to ask for you to please not stop. Is there not anyone out there that wants a cute lap cat? He is less than 5 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! Please adopt this lovely boy! He has a partial tail (not a traumatic injury) and that could indicate some American bobtail mixed in. He is ready for his forever home. Bullet is house-trained. The adoption fee is a donation to our rescue, and the amount is at your discretion. Please fill out our online adoption form:https://www.duetteanimalrescueteam.org/online-adoption-application. Priority is given to that application. Manatee, Hillsborough, Sarasota, and Pinellas counties only. Thank you for caring.

More about this rescue
We founded the Duette Animal Rescue Team (DART) in 2020 in Manatee County. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. We learned about the plight for exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. By working with a network of zo's, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters,
DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care. We catch cats to assist with the management of stray cat overpopulation in the community. We rehabilitate the cats so that we can put them up for adoption and have a better quality of life. For example, cat litter box training and socialization.
