Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Finn!
Finn is a very smart 17 week old mix. He's actually got quite the mix. We will post his combo at the bottom of the bio.
Finn came to us when his previous owner got him out of a rough situation, while she adored Finn, she realized she wasn't the ideal fit for him so she lovingly surrendered him to us.
While Finn is adorable, he's very smart. He is currently in a foster home with a professional trainer and someone who competes heavily in dog sports. She says:
"Finn will be a fantastic family member and companion. Definitely has the ability to play dog sports. He is a bit sound sensitive and could use more exposure with all of life. but he quickly gains confidence.
His placement should be not with small children unless they are a very experienced dog knowledgeable family. House training is going well sleeps well in a crate and he is very healthy."
Finn is right in the middle of a fear stage, at this stage if he is not placed with a dedicated family with the intent to get him out with other people, places and dogs, he will not continue to flourish and it may create behavioral problems in the future.
Finn is good with other dogs, has been around a cat and around new people but his adoptive family will need to continue this.
Finn's previous owner did great with getting him housebroken and crate trained. But of course with every environmental change, he may need an adjustment period.
Finn is up to date on his shots, he is not neutered per the request of our vet. This expense will need to be covered by the adopter and there is a refundable retainer to ensure it gets done.
Finn's adoption fee is $350 plus tax.
His breakdown is (& he is NOT "hypoallergenic")
21% Maltese
20% Shih Tzu
20% Dachshund
12% Poodle (toy and miniature)
11% Cavalier
6% Yorkie
4% Lhasa Apso
4% Chihuahua
2% Havanese
If you are interested in Finn, please fill out an application on our website and a volunteer will be in touch within 48 hours. https://foreverfido.org/adoptable-dogs/
****Forever Fido Puppy Rescue is located near Rochester, MN. We will not ship dogs and a Meet & Greet with the dog you are interested in is required to be done in person and if you are selected, it will need to be done within a week of your initial call as it's in Finn's best interest to move to his fur-ever home sooner rather than later.****
