If you meet Robby at the shelter, he may seem scared or shy. But once he's at home, he loves people exuberantly and is not fearful at all. Robby is a silly, goofy puppy at heart who simply doesn't feel safe in a shelter environment.
Robby is housebroken and has done well living with other dogs. He loves to play and has a rough-and-tumble play style. In foster, he played hard with the young female dog and also got along with the older males who didn't usually want to play.
Robby's friendly finders said he was good with their cats and kids. In foster, he seemed very interested in the family cat. Adopters with cats should plan slow, controlled introductions over a period of time.
Robby is highly treat motivated and trainable. His first leash walk in foster, he pulled very hard! On his second walk there were treats involved, and Robby's leash was loose for most of the walk. No one has ever taught him manners, but he would love to learn! In foster he made good progress with not jumping up, and he knows sit (very reliably) and down (a little less reliably).
