August is a sensitive, silly, and very playful young boy looking for a home with a supportive family who will help him build confidence. August has not had an easy life and is understandably a bit shaken up by the noisy and overcrowded shelter. He can be nervous when meeting new people but his goofy puppy personality has really started to shine! Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said:
“August is one of my favorite dogs to spend time with. When he first came in, he was very nervous and shy, but he has gained confidence over his months in the shelter and usually greets me at his kennel door ready to go. He gets along well with his female kennelmate and has helped her come out of her shell a bit too. In the play yard, August is a nice combo of running around, sniffing, and playing, with frequent check-ins to seek affection before heading off on his own again. August is a great walker and he enjoys being out on a stroll. He can be a bit headshy (just not a fan of fast movements around his face or head), so young children could be challenging for him. But, if you let him come to you instead of forcing anything, he rewards you with snuggles and will even climb on to your lap.”
“August is a sweet and playful pup who loves spending time outdoors. He enjoys walkies and running around with his kennelmate in the yard. He’s a good walker too. Very attentive and pays attention to handlers when called. August is a fun boy!”
August’s former person did tell us that he is crate trained, and it will be great for him to have a safe space of his own in his future home. With some patience and love the sky is the limit for this little sweetheart! August shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask about August today!!
