From Lux's "welcome" post:
WELCOME LUX…
This young black kitty was found coming up to a kind woman and her kids. She started throwing up, showed signs of abdominal pain and was having other medical symptoms. She was struggling to hold a normal body temp. She was taken to the veterinarian for a quick check to make sure she was stable enough for transport to us. Suffering from a UTI and a bit of an URI, medications were started and she had a couple nights in the IC Unit to help stabilize her temperature. She was a little dehydrated and is somewhat malnourished. Lux is doing great now and is a very sweet young gal.
----
So, the above is how she arrived and what took place in the following few days in our care. Since then she has recovered wonderfully and has proven herself to be a really great cat. She is very friendly and is happy to be receiving so much attention. She's been lounging in our lobby making new friends and greeting our visitors.
Lux has the silkiest black fur you'll ever encounter - it shines like diamonds! And those eyes - oh, those eyes. How anyone could look into them and not melt is beyond us. This is one gorgeous kitty! We've listed her as a Bombay mix - we cannot guarantee this, but she sure has that breed's physical characteristics. She is mostly all black, although she does have a small patch of white on her belly. She really is strikingly beautiful!
If Lux has caught your eye, why not stop in for a visit - let her show you that we're not just making a fuss over nothing. She will prove us right, just you wait and see how fabulous she truly is.
Lux has an approx. DOB of 6/14/2023.
